Speaking of today’s news that Showtime is developing a new series, GLAAD president and CEO, Sarah Kate Ellis, said: “The past few years have seen lesbian and queer women characters in television killed off in shockingly high numbers.
From 2011 to 2016, she was in a relationship with her Uh Huh Her bandmate Leisha Hailey.
Their relationship first became public when the two were ejected from a Southwest Airlines flight for arguing with a flight attendant who, after seeing them exchange a kiss, stated it was a "family airline" and asked them to stop.
At the beginning of the series, Hailey's character identified as bisexual.
