This is really sad considering the fact that my Grandpa is dying from cancer and they still won't make up over what happened. But my Grandpa is 70, so he grew up in a time when the United States was a very racist place, he was just basically taught to be racist.
Now, my mom just told me that she believes that people should date people of their own color. He also grew up in Key West, Florida, and when he was growing up, Key West was an extremely racist city before the 1970s. Why do some people still not believe in blacks and whites dating and marrying?
I should start off with an apology at the negative tone of this post’s title; but I believe that people should know the negatives upfront, get past them (if they want to) and then go on to pursue their dreams.
I love sharing my experiences and opinions with others (hence why I’m a blogger).
"Mum, Dad, this is my boyfriend, Harry." They both looked at him and you knew they were already judging him.
