In 2005, Gale became the National Ambassador for Kids Help Line and in 2009, she was appointed the first official National Ambassador for The Red Cross.
After several years of modelling, Gale rose to fame when in 1999 was cast to appear in a series of advertisements for an Italian telecommunication company, Omnitel (now Vodafone Italy); she appeared in the company's advertising until 2006.

In an interview with Stellar, the 41-year-old revealed: ‘We have great respect for each other, he’s an amazing guy.’ Gale was with Lee for four years before splitting in 2010. ‘They wanted me to push the show, but all anyone wanted to talk about was Andy and Shaun.
Following their break-up, the ‘[Those stories] blindsided me. The only thing I could pinpoint it on was perhaps when I started seeing Shaun, [it] wasn’t long after I broke up with [comedian] Andy Lee.
But then I was starting to get a little bit more work and I decided that I would give it one more year.
Like everyone else, I just thought well you know and Id made a point that year it being my last year that I wanted to do TV commercials and so it was definitely one a job that I wanted to get and then I got shortlisted and shortlisted and it came down to just two of us and I got it which was great and at the time I just thought another job.
After six years of edge-of-the-seat television, multiple awards and a re-definition of the meaning of a talk-show, ABC TV and Zapruder's other films are today announcing that ENOUGH ROPE will not return in 2009.
